Bronco Youth Basketball

Fall 2025 Season

How Long is the Season?
The Season is roughly 10 weeks long with practices for the Fall Season anticipated to begin on Tuesday, September 16th.

When and where are practices held?
Practices are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Oak Valley Middle School and are 1 ½ hours long.
3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade teams will practice from 6:00pm-7:30pm.
6th, 7th, and 8th Grade teams will practice from 7:30pm-9:00pm.
Please note, practice location and dates may be changed based on gym availability. If rescheduled, practices will likely be held at neighboring PUSD gyms.

When will I get a uniform?
Game day jerseys and shorts are required. New players will be given the opportunity to purchase a uniform set for $80 (contingent on availability).

When and where will games be played?
Our teams will play in either the Sol League or the SD Thrive League. Sol League games are held at their facility on the campus of Alliant International University or their sister facility Play By Play Productions in the San Marcos/Rancho Santa Fe area.
SD Thrive League games are played in a number of facilities in the San Diego area (from Mira Mesa to San Marcos).

When will I receive a game schedule?
Games are expected to begin on the weekend of September 27-28.
Game schedules are released directly from the Sol and Thrive leagues and typically are not released until the week before the season starts.
Games are scheduled on both Saturdays and Sundays, with teams typically playing one game per weekend but can occasionally play two in a weekend.

What if my player has a schedule conflict?
While we know there may be potential conflicts, it is best to communicate any conflicts that may result in missing practice and/or games with your player’s coach immediately as they arise. However, we hope all efforts are being made to prioritize Bronco Ball as it is our goal to ensure our teams are able to compete at a high level.

How will I know if my child makes the team?
The coaches will meet to determine rosters as quickly as possible after tryouts. Players will receive an email to notify them of roster selections. If it is determined that your child may not be at the skill level needed to compete in games, they will be invited to join Bronco Youth Basketball as a Practice Player. Practice Players will have the opportunity to continue to develop their skills alongside other Bronco Ball players. While they may not see game-time minutes, this opportunity provides a strong foundation for future growth.

What is the registration fee?
The registration fee for rostered players is $450.
The registration fee for practice players is $325.
Siblings are offered a $50 discount on one of the registrations.
Some of our more competitive teams will occasionally participate in local tournaments. Tournament registration fees are split amongst the team and are in addition to the standard registration fee.

Welcome to the team and GO BRONCOS!
